Seeing as a few people seem to be looking at this board I'll write a shortened version of my earlier message. I've ben going to Wycombe games for 25 years and I ent seen anything remotely looking like a firm for at least the last 16 of them. If anyone wants to prove me wrong I can't wait to see you in action at Shrewsbury.

Well it wasn't exactly the ICF but there was always a decent turnout for big games, especially against league opposition. There used to be a surprising number of footbal hooligans in Wycombe but they mostly followed London clubs - QPR, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, West Ham and Millwall. In the early to mid 80's a crowd of skins and beer monsters who mainly supported Chelsea used to drift together for big games. There was a tongue-in-cheek name for the mob - the Liver Damage Firm. There was also a mainly black mob that would sometimes turn out. Towards the end of the 80's a small but clued up little firm who loosely called themselves the LDF (mainly as a joke) had some rows, notably with Kettering and Yeovil but most people just lost interest about 1990 and I can say with fair certainty that there has been nobody to carry the torch since.

I think you will find the wycombe came largely from the totteridge area, a couple of well known west ham still are present to this day, although slighty grey now.

Moved to Bucks about four years ago. A certain Everton author (A to Z of football hooligans) contacted me and asked if I could help him out regarding Wycombes firm, asked around but all they could tell me was the name. Not read the book tbh, was there anything in it about Wycombe?

Section 5 had a reasonable go at running a firm a few years back.

'had a reasonable go at running a firm' - what the hell's that supposed to mean? Section 5 was just some stupid name for a few cyber warriors. Give me one example of something they ever did.

I ent seen this book but if it's saying Wycombe have ever done Gillingham then I'm 99.9% sure it's ABSOLUTE B*LLOCKS! As for Colchester, I'll set the record straight once and for all. Wycombe played them in the 1st round of the cup in '86 I think. As was the norm for big Wycombe games back then, hordes of natives swarmed down from the hills and gave them a proper hiding on the terraces. But here's the rub. The fans they turned over were just scarfers - few if any proper chaps coz Colchester obviously didn't expect anything. The amazing co-incidence is that in the 2nd round we drew Chelmsford (just down the road from Colchester). I reckon half of Essex must have turned up in Wycombe for revenge and we got run ragged. There were a few brave individual performances but anyone who tells you different is talking out of their a*rse. When Wycombe played Colchester in the Conference a few years later they turned up thinking it'd be a big one again but things had changed in Wycombe. A mob of them went into the Valley end and all the mongs in there absolutely s*at themselves. Colchester continued to try and bring it on for a few more seasons (usually outnumbered by OB by now) until finally realising thet they were wasting their time. Funnily enough I shagged their top geezer's sister and got her to tell him not to bother - so maybe that was it!

Its meant to mean they went 15 handed in a tight group to various away days. Blackpool,Brentford being a couple of examples.
Cant knock them for giving it a go.

I don't f*cking believe this. Every casual and ex bleeding hooligan in the country wants to know about Wycombe all of a sudden! I don't know how I can make it much clearer that there's not a lot to know. As far as Section 5 going to Blackpool is concerned, I was at Blackpool 2 or 3 seasons ago, the season we went down, and I saw a handful of Burberry wearing Blackpool pikeys next to the Wycombe bit and there was definitely no Wycombe firm there of any sort. And that was at exactly the time 'Section 5' were coming on the net saying they had a mob. In answer to Palace - first of all - RESPECT. I was in a row against them in about '88 when they had about 20 and we had about 80 (not Wycombe obviously). They held us off for what seemed like ages with the aid of a skip (I nearly got my head knocked off by a tile) and a couple of geezers who were too tall to punch. I think they ended up throwing books at us before we got it together and ran them. Anyway - I've never heard of Wycombe having any rows with Barnet. Seven (that's 7 for you jokers who say you ent got the numbers) went down Yeovil in about '88 and faced up about 30 of them. We proper stood and one of my mates got put in hospital. Also, 1 or 2 Wycombeites that people now seem to think are Wycombe's 'older lads' were on their toes before it even started. They were never with us! We repeated the performance the next season with about 10 of us which was quite amusing coz we went in their end and they came in ours so we sat there staring at each other throughout the game. Anyway, they didn't find it so funny when we bowled into their pub at about 7 that evening and gassed them. Of course the c*nts never had the bottle to visit us. We had about 3 rows with Kettering but the best moment was when we did our usual trick which was to wait until well after the game coz of our small numbers (9 that evening) and then hit them in the bowling alley next to the ground. They tried to get out the doors at us and ran into lumps of concrete and even a flare. Another time we went to a night game up there with 16 of us. After the game they were everywhere, dozens of them. Some came out from behind us and we ran - into their main mob who thought we were charging them and had in on their toes. Tomorrow's installment - a little story I've remembered about Oxford.
